When we founded Affinity in 1997, we knew we needed an MRP system which could be used to help launch our business. Our plan was to use ProjectSuite to bridge the gap of one or two years until we could afford a larger, more established MRP system.  I am pleased to announce that Affinity is about to celebrate our fifth anniversary, and ProjectSuite is still going strong.  We currently have 10 workstations on our network, all using ProjectSuite. We have processed 1,500 Sales Orders; 7,500 Work Orders; 2,000 Purchase Orders; 4,500 Invoices and have 2,000 records in our Item Master! 

Last month Affinity was awarded the "Up and Coming" business in Orange County from a list of 55 nominees. Before BuinessMaster tracking inventory, BOM and manufacturing was done in Excel. It was a time consuming and inefficient process. When I saw the demo for InventoryDirect, I was so excited how this software would make my job more efficient and effective. Engineering Today: Custom Tool and Die/Injection Molding

I am a good engineer but managing and directing a business is not a strong suit for me. Therefore, when I was looking for a software package to help, it had to be user friendly. BusinessMaster was the most intuitive and cost effective solution I saw. Our company is a small injection molding house that both designs and builds molds and related tooling plus does production molding. Many of our jobs are on a time and material basis so cost collection is very important. Master Solutions saw the benefit of developing tools to help us with this and developed a package that became their Labor Collection and Job Costing Module. We were quite proud to be part of this as it became a very powerful tool. Employees log time spent on each job and purchase orders for material are tagged with the sales order number making billing for this type of work a snap. Cost centers such as Design, CNC Machining, bench labor, production labor etc. have been set up so charges can be individually assigned. Job costing also helps in that we can review labor and material content to keep our estimating and bidding processes sharp and competitive. We have been using BusinessMaster for seven years now and have recommended it to our customers and venders, many of whom have purchased it and are equally satisfied. I must mention also that support and customization has been prompt and very helpful to a "non IT" guy.
